This means that there are more high-achieving high school students applying to the same number of highly selective schools. In a nutshell, it's tougher to be admitted to highly selective schools today than in previous decades.  Knowledge and early preparation for this type of competition is crucial!

CollegeBound Solutions  is committed to supporting dedicated, yet extremely busy parents in their search for college and scholarship.  CollegeBound Solutions will develop a Personal College Action Plan to identify the best colleges for your student's personal growth.  This step-by-step process ensures that your valuable time is not wasted discovering the process.


CollegeBound Solutions guides students through the exploration of both career and college; as well as the subsequent application process; which includes assistance with essays and preparation of a resume.  The college admissions process is ever-changing, and CollegeBound Solutions is committed to providing the most up-to-date guidance available.  To this end we offer special tutoring in such areas as:  standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, TAKS), academics (Math, Chemistry), summer reading and study skills.  

CollegeBound Solutions develops a course of action to navigate the scholarship search.  The average college cost is $10,000-$20,000 per year and increasing every year.  Many families anguish over the college college/scholarship process.  Allow CollegeBound Solutions the opportunity to help you through this very important process.

Who we are:

Six years ago, CollegeBound Solutions was established in Tyler to assist high school students with the college preparation and application processes.  Jane Manley and Donna Luker Wesson, founders of CollegeBound Solutions identified a need, as college advising was but one of the responsibilities of high school counselors already overwhelmed with the increasing number of students who required their constant attention, response, and test preparation.

Personal College Action Plan

"As parents of college students, we know first-hand the value of scholarship dollars"says Mrs. Manley.  "CollegeBound Solutions specializes in identifying programs that match the individual student"s talents with appropriate merit awards to help defray the educational costs for the family." CollegeBound Solutions has assisted more than 600 students from all of the public and private schools in Tyler as well as the majority of schools in a sixty-mile radius of Tyler.  A significant number of these students received merit scholarship including half to full-ride awards.  Manley insists: "There is an opportunity for anyone who desires to continue his/her education; not just those at the top of the class.  At the same time there are opportunities for scholarship for many of these same students.  CollegeBound Solutions aggressively seeks out such opportunities for every one of our students."

Preparing for college should be a journey in self-discovery that culminates with a successful college match.  CollegeBound Solutions provides structure for this process for both student and parent.  Success requires preparation, organization and perseverance.  "I tell my students, persistence and sweat are investments in your future and I am proud of your commitment," states Mrs. Wesson.  When is the best time to commit to the process?  According to Wesson, "early preparation is the key to success!"
